I’m loving this new title… Let’s just say I was more than happy to get rid of ‘treatment update’ posts! It’s been a busy few weeks getting back to normal, or rather, figuring out my new normal.

I’m in my third week back to work and even though I’m still not back to full time, it’s been a lot harder being on a schedule than I imagined! I’ve been so regimented with doctors appointments and restrictions that all of this freedom is kind of overwhelming. From the few people I’ve talked to, I’m not the only person who has these feelings after finishing treatment. I’m working on a post outlining all of the highs and lows of the last few weeks! Check back for it over weekend 🙂

You may have noticed that my blog got a facelift (thanks Erin!) so I hope you all love the changes! I’m trying to make it easier to navigate and also added a contact form for anyone that has questions for me that they’d prefer to keep private.  Bear with me, I’m still working out some kinks. I’ve also been working on something very exciting and hope to share it with everyone in a month or so!

My sister-in-law’s mom sent me the sweetest card this week and gave me the idea that even if I don’t have a full post, the occasional thought of the day would be good! So this is for you Marsha!

As many of my friends would attest, I’m anything but a morning person. I may or may not breathe fire before 8am! Haha  I used to wake up with just enough time to get dressed and out the door which is stressful. Since going back to work I’ve made the effort to start my day early, but nice and slow. I have my coffee, a good shower, read my book of the week on the porch and I’m wide eyed and bushy tailed by the time I get to work. I even agreed to work with the best personal trainer in town (what up Mike!) twice a week.  Today I one-upped myself and went on a beach walk at sunrise with my girl Katy and her canine counterpart Maycie. It was so beautiful! I’m on my way to becoming a bonafide morning person!

My tip of the day is start the day a little earlier and make time to do something you love. (Even if it’s watching the Real Housewives of New York reunion.. No judgement) Whether you give yourself an extra 5 minutes or 30, I promise it’ll be worth it!

Keepin it real (early),

Kelly
